Michael K. McGuire

Michael K. McGuire, 80 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Center for Hospice Care- Esther’s House in Elkhart, IN surrounded by his family. Mike was born on January 7, 1945 in Kendallville, IN to Roscoe and Josphine McGuire. He married Lola Marie Elkins on June 12, 1965 in Elkhart, IN she preceded him in death on June 27, 2013.

Mike honorably served his country in the United State Navy. He worked for Jessen Manufacturing Co. in Elkhart, IN., and Kampco Steel Products INC in Elkhart, IN . Mike enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors fishing. He loved to spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his son Ron (Mary) McGuire of Pinellas Park, Fl., and his daughter Kathy (Mark) Moore of Constantine, MI; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jason) Gorrell, Mathew (Kelly) McGuire, Kristia Drake, Melissa McGuire, Tyler (Mackenzie) Krueger, Austin (Shelly) Moore and Rockie (Carly) Moore; great-grandchildren Hayden, Brantley, Greyson, James, Teygan, Ethan, Elijah and Oliver; his brother Walter McGuire of Goshen, IN. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wife and his brother John McGuire.

Visitation will from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 10, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Lola.
