Pamela Kay Bowman

Pamela Kay Bowman, 64, of Elkhart went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 11, 2024. She passed away at Esther’s House, Center for Hospice Care with her family by her side. Pam was born on August 17, 1959 to Thomas and Doris Funkhouser.

Pam graduated from cosmetology school and began her career as a hairdresser. She worked for The Best Little Hairhouse and McDonalds Barber Shop. She treated all of her customers like family. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed baking special treats for her family and friends. After Pam’s dad passed away, she took on his part in life of cheering for the Chicago Bears. Pam was a member of the DAV 19 and the VFW in Elkhart. She loved her sons more than life itself; she was their biggest fan and never missed a sporting event or special program. Pam will be sadly missed.

Pam is survived by her sons David Bowman, Dakotah (Laura) Bowman and Dylan Bowman; her siblings Thomas (Tina) Funkhouser, Lori (Janet) Funkhouser and Scott Funkhouser; her nieces and nephews, Allison (Thomas) Parker, Josh (Misty) Funkhouser, Brittany Lundberg, Kelsey Rowley, Alissa Rowley and Aaron (Desirea) Rowley; great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon, Paislee, Brexley, Brinley, Amya, Jolene, Everly, Leah and Corinn.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 and on Thursday from 10am-11am at the funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 11am. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate and the funeral director is her son, David Bowman. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
