Patricia Gene Cameron

Patricia Gene Cameron, 94, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Hubbard Hill Living Wisdom Community in Elkhart, IN. Pat was born on December 13, 1930 to Lamar and Leora Inbody in Goshen, IN. She married Edwin Yoder on August 21, 1949, he preceded her in death on January 15, 2003. She married Douglas Cameron on October 29, 1971 in Elkhart, IN, he preceded her in death on August 20, 2001 in Franklin, NC.

Pat graduated from Elkhart High School in 1948. She earned her certification as a surgical technician in South Bend, IN and later worked at Elkhart General Hospital. Pat and Doug moved to Ft. Myers, FL in 1976 where she managed the practice of Anesthesia Associates until she retired. After retiring, they moved to Franklin, NC. Pat enjoyed playing the piano, arts & crafts and sewing and made clothing for her children when they were younger. She was a member of Simpson Methodist Church in Elkhart and was very active as a member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin. Pat loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and extended family. She will be sadly missed.,

Pat is survived by her children, Cathy R. Yoder and her life partner Kevin White of Elkhart, IN., Rick L. (Sue) Yoder of Casco, WI., Scott D. (Trina) Yoder of Sturgis, MI., step-daughter, Melissa (Dan) Wood of Westville, IL and step-son, James “Jimmy” (Heather) Cameron of Middlebury, IN; grandchildren, Michelle (Rick) Moody, Kimberly Fowler, William (Lizzie) Yoder, Jonathan Yoder, Carra Yoder, Teesha Yoder-Gipson and Daniel Yoder, great-grandchildren; Sara LaCosta, Saoirse Yoder, Brendan Yoder, Diojonae Mackey, Dayton Mackey, Davian Mackey; great-great grandchildren, Mya Yoder, and Aiyana Mackey, her brothers; Jon Inbody of Elkhart, IN and Mike (Jeannie) Inbody of Elkhart, IN. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Merle and Leora Inbody, husbands, Edwin Yoder and Douglas Cameron, brothers, baby Tommy Inbody and Dana (Joanie) Inbody.
