Peggy L. (Forrest) Presser

Peggy L. Presser, 72, of Bristol, passed away Sunday November 26, 2023 at home surrounded by her family, after a heroic 10 year battle with cancer.  She was born January 20, 1951 in Elkhart, IN to Charles W. and Doris (Kiefer) Forrest.  She married Donald C. Presser on November 24, 1979 at Simpson United Methodist Church in Elkhart, IN.

Peggy graduated from Elkhart High School class of 1969. She graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in teaching and later earned her master’s in teaching. She was a teacher in the Elkhart Community School system and owned Huntington Learning Center in Granger.  Peggy enjoyed being a cheerleader for Elkhart High School and Ball State University and a cheerleading coach at Memorial High School, as well as watching her students play sports. She was an avid reader. Peggy and her husband enjoyed traveling to sunny places, especially Hawaii and Florida. Peggy was very kind and generous with her time and her talents. Her favorite time was the time she spent with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Donald, a sister Cathy (William) Johnson of Blue Ash, Ohio, brother-in-law John R. (Rachel) Presser of North Webster, IN and sister-in-law Charla Niblock of Union, MI; nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Andrew) Mechtenberg, Jenna (Aaron) Seitz, Lauren (James) Jacquot, twins Richard (Marsha) Presser and Steve (Cynthia) Presser, John (Tara) Presser, Phil (Crystal) Presser, Chrissie (Randy) Barnes, Anna (Dan) McEachern, Chad (Katie) Niblock, Jami (Nic) Rowe and Michelle (Jessie) Sorenson and numerous great nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Doris Forrest.

Visitation for Peggy will be from 9am -12 pm on Thursday November 30, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 where services will be at 12pm where Pastor Keith McFarren will officiate.  Peggy will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery.
