Pete Q. Negrete

Pete Q. Negrete, 67, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Wednesday august 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Pete was born on March 5, 1957 to Juan and Inez Negrete in Sturgis, MI. He married Carolyn on January 28, 1977 in Elkhart, IN.

Pete worked at Heartland RV. He enjoyed being outdoors riding his motorcycle and hunting. He also enjoyed watching football games, especially Notre Dame. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Pete is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn; their children Brandon (April) Negrete of Mishawaka, IN and Cassy (Ben) Wood of Elkhart, IN grandchildren Dawson and Paige; siblings, Carolyn (Roger) Miller of La Grange, IN., Kathy (Ron) Paules of Wolcottville, IN., Inez (Monty) Dafforn of Kendallville, IN., Virginia (Lewis) Ash of LaGrange, IN., Maria (Kirk) Wickey of Middlebury, IN and Juanita (Mike) Bechtol of Fremont, IN., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Inez Negrete; siblings, Linda (Clarence) Eells, Frank Negrete and Paula Negrete.

Friends may gather with family from 2-4pm on Saturday August 17, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where a celebration of life will be held at 4pm.
