Richard L. Briseno

Richard L. Briseno, of Elkhart, IN formerly of Indio, CA. passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday December 11, 2023. Richard was born on May 17, 1956 in Indio, CA to Felipe Briseno and Carmen Quevedo. He married the love of his life Laura Alicia Lerma on August 28, 1982 at their home in San Bernardino, CA.

Richard retired as a structural steel welder. He enjoyed listening to good music, especially the oldies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going camping. He always kept a clean home for his family. He will be sadly missed. He and his wife, Laura, are members at Victory Outreach Coachella Valley Church in Indio, CA. He loved to spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laura; their children Richie Briseno, Jr of CA., Efren (Lydia) Briseno of CA., and April Briseno of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Cassandra, Mariah, Efren, Mono, Ethan, Emily, Bella and Megan Rose; great-grandchildren Olivia, Adam, Steven, Caiden, Alizay and Isaiah; his siblings Angelina, Edel, Margaret, Rosemary, Carmen and Steve. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Felipe and Carmen, his son Phillip Briseno and his siblings Phillip, David and Frank

Funeral services in Indiana for Richard will be from 4 to 6pm Friday December 22, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, IN 46514.

Visitation will be held 2pm-7pm on Thursday, January 4, 2023 at Victory Outreach Coachella Valley Church, 82025 Bliss Ave., Indio, CA 92201. Where funeral services will be held at 3pm at the church. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 82975 Requa Ave., Indio, CA 92201 is assisting the Briseno family in California and Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family in Indiana.
