Rio Marie Allred, age 12, of Elkhart passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022. Rio was born on June 30, 2009 to Michael Allred and Nicole Terrell.
Rio enjoyed sketching, art, reading, video games, riding her bike and going camping with her family. She would make you laugh with her smart wit and sarcasm. She loved spending time with her BFF Lilli and her family. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh.
Rio is survived by her parents Michael (KaSandra Jackson) Allred of Elkhart and Nicole (Aaron) Ball of Elkhart; siblings Avry Guffey of Elkhart, Jeremy Ball of South Bend and Isabella Ball of South Bend; grandparents Tom & Beth Terrell of Granger, Tammie & Brian Allred of Florida, Jeff & Sarah Bliler of Elkhart, Phil Ball & Lori Barker-Ball of South Bend, Jenifer Chamberlin of Georgia, Jennifer & Gary Simmons of Elkhart, great-grandparents Sue & Fran Terrell of Elkhart, Bob & Cindy Clayton of New Paris, Jen Cooper of Bristol, Kathy & Terry Cates of Granger and Dave &Sally Rains of Elkhart. Aunts and Uncles Steven Allred, Lindsey Ellis and many from Niki and Aaron's side, plus an extended family and huge tribe of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was greeted at heavens gate by her nana Julie Ann Bliler.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 Rio would want you to come and be you, don’t wear black, wear bright colors, rainbow colors and join her family in a celebration of Rio’s life at 1 pm on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Granger Community Church-Elkhart Campus, 2701 East Bristol, Elkhart, IN 46514.
