Ronald Green

September 12, 1943 — June 2, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Green, who left us peacefully at home on June 2, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 12, 1943, in Goshen, Indiana, Ron was the cherished son of Thad and Helyn Green. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, who instilled in him the values of kindness and hard work that would define his life.

Ron graduated in 1961 from Millersburg High School. He then attended Ball State University, where he pursued a business education degree and became an active member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. After completing his education, he dedicated many years to the workforce, taking on various roles at Abitibi (formerly Middlebury Moldings) and co-owning Coulter and Son. His work ethic and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. He was a business teacher for many years.

On June 26, 1966, at the Wakarusa Methodist Church, Ron married the love of his life, Harriet Allen. Together, they shared an incredible 58 years of marriage, creating a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support for one another. Ron was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Harriet; his son, Thad Green; his daughter, Deanna (Frankie) Ceccarelli; and his grandchildren, Carson Brown, Brenna (Nick) Burden, Avery Brown, and Nevaeh Green. The loss of Ron will be profoundly felt by his family, who were the center of his universe.

A man of deep faith, Ron was actively involved in his community and church, serving on the financial committees of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Bristol Methodist Church. He enjoyed teaching Adult Sunday School, where he had the opportunity to share his knowledge and beliefs with others. Ron's dedication to his Christian faith was unwavering.

Known for his dry sense of humor and generous spirit, Ron was a man who cared deeply for those around him. His compassion extended not only to his family and friends but also to anyone in need. He had an innate ability to bring joy to others, whether it was through sharing a laugh or offering a helping hand.

In his spare time, Ron enjoyed building and repairing things in his special shed, a space where he could unleash his creativity and ingenuity. He was a regular at his grandchildren's sports activities, always cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride. Ron enjoyed playing poker, often gathering with his buddies for friendly games, and he liked keeping up with the stock market. He and Harriet shared many wonderful adventures traveling with friends, creating cherished memories that will forever be held close to their hearts.

Ronald Lee Green lived a life rich in love, faith, and service. His legacy will continue to shine through his family and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the warmth and laughter he brought into the world.
