Ruth E. Smith

Ruth E. Smith, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday Aug. 25 at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1920 in Herrin, IL to Edward and Ethel (Arnold) Ridgeway.
On July 13, 1941 in Johnson City, IL she married James E. Smith who preceded her in death on April 28, 2008.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Cathy Pressinell of Elkhart and Louella DeMorrow of Elkhart, two grandchildren, a sister Nadine Shadoens of Pinkneyville, IL; 4 brothers: Ralph, William and John Ridgeway all of Herrin, IL. and Fred Ridgeway of Colorado. She was preceded in death by brothers Edward and Wally Ridgeway and sisters Wanda Peterson and Opal Davis.

There will be no visitation or service for Ruth. Cremation has taken place.
