Sally L. Wagner

Sally Lee Wagner, age 88, of Elkhart, IN passed away Sunday May 17, 2026 at her home. She was born April 20, 1938 in Hamlet, IN to Andrew and Kathryn Luke. On April 14, 1956 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elkhart, she married Paul L. Wagner who preceded her in death on May 20, 2022. Together they celebrated over 66 years of marriage.

Sally worked for over 30 years at Conn-Selmer where she cleaned musical instruments and worked in production. She enjoyed sewing, bird watching and going on road trips. She loves animals, especially her cat "Susie" sometimes known as mittens. She was a very happy, loving person, with a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Sally enjoyed going to the casino, playing domino, rummikub, cards and board games with her family and friends. Most of all she loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her children, Sandra Poarch and James (Sherry) Wagner; sister Joyce (Devon) Newman; grandchildren, Jeremy (Brooke) Linn, Kristy (Jeremy) Kulberg, Tiffany(Shawn) McLaughlin, Rachel (Nathan) Stephens, Ryan (Melissa) Hendershott, Cassie Alden, Tim Wagner, Michael (Carolyn) Poarch, Chad (Breahanna) Wagner and Kendra (Chris) Peppers, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Kathryn Luke, husband Paul Wagner, children, Patti Linn, Kenneth Wagner and Gayle Wagner, son-in-law Bruce Poarch, siblings Nila (Bob) Weltz, Judith Coelho and James Luke.

Visitation will be held from 11 am - 1pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Stemm-Lawson- Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be held at 1pm.
