Samuel W. Wicks

Samuel W. Wicks, 53 of Picayune, MS, formerly of Carter Lake, Mich., passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 9:14 pm Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014.

He was born November 1, 1960 in South Bend to William F. and Norma J. (Zipser) Wicks. Surviving are a son, Sam Wicks of Odessa, TX, a daughter Ashley Wyatt of Elkhart and a sister, Autumn Wicks (Mark Collis) of Union, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Samuel was a cabinet maker for Commercial Laminated Products in Picayune. He loved his lake and enjoyed fishing, camping and his cat, Sabra.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm Tuesday, Sept. 9th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where visitation will be from 4:30 pm until the service time. Pastor Steve Steele will officiate. Cremation will take place.
