Sandra Kay Lingofelter

Sandra Kay Lingofelter, 77 of Bristol, IN passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. Sandra was born on March 3, 1948 in Peru, IN to Kenneth and Hazel Gilliland. She married Kenneth Lingofelter on July 10, 1976 in Bristol, IN; he preceded her in death on March 13, 2024. They were married for over 47 years.

Sandra graduated from Plymouth High School. Even though Sandra was visually impaired, her lack of sight did not slow her down. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making crafts with beads and getting together with her “Tuesday Ladies” making various crafts. She volunteered at ADEC. She was a member for the American Council of the Blind, Citizens of Bristol Homecoming, Goshen Moose Lodge #836, Women of the Moose, Bristol Fire Department, Women’s Auxiliary. Sandra loved the Lord and was a member of Bristol Community Church. She was always in for a fun game of scrabble, having friends over to roast hotdogs or a pool party. Sandra loved to spend time with her friends and family. She will be sadly missed.

Sandra is survived by her children Rosina Lingofelter Faught of Bristol, IN; Robert (Susan) Lingofelter of White Pigeon, MI., and Rodney (Linda Pecher) Lingofelter of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Michael Lingofelter, Ashley Lingofelter, Brandie Lingofelter, Ryan Studabaker, Carrie Faught, Jacob Faught and Lucindá Lingofelter; great-grandchildren Alexis Faught, Michael Leighton and Damian Faught; her siblings Rex (Kathleen) Gilliand, Roger Gilliland, Denny Gilliland and brother-in-law Ron Snyder; several nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Also, her special friends and caregivers Emily Beinz, Toni Sharpe and Pat Ganger. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lingofelter; parents, Kenneth and Hazel Gilliand, stepmom Grace Gilliland and her sister Lori Gilliand Snyder.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Friday September 19, 2025 at Bristol Community Church, 201 South Division Street, Bristol, IN 46507 where funeral services will be at 4 pm. Pastor Gary Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at 10 am on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Fire Department, 405 East Elkhart Street, Bristol, IN 46507 or the Goshen Moose Lodge-Moosehaven, 388 Johnson Street, Goshen, IN 46528.
