Sara Jean Collins

Sara Jean Collins of Elkhart, IN formerly of Delta, CO passed away at the age of 50 on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with family by her side at the Center for Hospice Care- Esther’s House in Elkhart, IN. She was born on October 20, 1975.

Sara worked for several years at C&J Café in Delta, CO. She enjoyed hiking in the Colorado mountains and reading. Most of all, she loved her daily coffees and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her amazingly infectious smile and her gift for striking up a warm conversation with just about anyone she met. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Collins of Elkhart, IN; her father, Art (Glory) Collins of Elkhart, IN; and her mother, Annette Collins of Elkhart, IN. She is also survived by her partner, Joel Weaver of Delta, CO, and by her siblings: Nicholas Collins (Brad) of Chattanooga, TN; Erin Collins of Hartland, MI; Lisa (Sean) Raskosky of Elkhart, IN; Seth Collins of Elkhart, IN; Brette (Chris) Bloss of Osceola, IN; and Lucas Collins of Chattanooga, TN. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. Sara was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Nathan Collins.
