Scott D. Newell, 55, of Elkhart, passed away on February 9, 2018 at home. He was born on June 13, 1962 in Elkhart, Indiana to Devon and Carrie L. (Sommers) Newell.
He is survived by 2 sons, Darryl S. Newell and James Wayne Newell; 6 Grandchildren; 2 adopted children, Hope and Austin McCartney; 2 sisters, Sara Perez and Debra Newell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Randy Newell.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o the funeral home.
