Steven K. Kline

Steven K. Kline, 76 of Middlebury, IN passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Center for Hospice Care~ Ernestine Raclin House in Mishawaka, IN. Steve was born on December 23, 1948 to Harold and Elaine Kline in Elkhart, IN. He married Heidi Kline on May 6, 1989 at Bristol United Methodist Church in Bristol, IN.

Steve graduated from Elkhart Central High School, class of 1967. In his younger years he was an accomplished drummer for several local bands. He worked at Robert Weed Corporation from 1975-1990. He worked for Earthway Products in Bristol and was the owner and operator of Kline’s Small Engine Service in Bristol, IN. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He was affectionally known as TBS to his good friends in White Pigeon, MI. He and his wife are former members of Bristol Community Church. Most of all Steve loved to spend time on his pontoon with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Heidi Kline, his son Kevin (Stephanie) Kline of Topeka, IN, step-granddaughter Katie, sister Sharon Barber of Bristol, IN, niece Tami (Andy) Roman and nephew Danny Barber. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Elaine and his brother-in-law Don Barber.

Visitation will be held for Steve on Thursday from 2-4 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 4pm. Pastor Gary Lewis from Bristol Community Church will officiate. Steve will be laid to rest at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol, IN at a later date.
