Taylor Lynn Filbert

Taylor Lynn Filbert, age 27, of Goshen passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on October 4, 1994 to Nikki Shawgo in Elkhart. Taylor married the love of her life, Thomas Filbert on May 14, 2016 at the Nappanee Church of the Brethren.

Taylor’s greatest love in life was her family. She enjoyed doing diamond painting, sewing or just spending time outdoors.

Taylor is survived by her loving husband Thomas of Goshen; their children Charlie Bolt, Talia Filbert and Adilyn Filbert; her mom Nikki (Jay) Shepherd of Goshen; her siblings Kelsea Liddell of Elkhart and Madison Shepherd of Elkhart; grandparents Phil and Laura Rhoades of Wakarusa & Patricia and Wayne Bigler of Goshen; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Taylor’s wishes, she would not want a room filled with gloom, she would want you to dress in bright colors (no black) to celebration her life. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Nappanee Church of the Brethren, 301 Mack Drive, Nappanee, IN 46530. With visitation from 2-4 pm at the church. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Filbert family.
