Thomas James Robertson

Thomas James Robertson, 96 of Goshen passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday January 23,2024. Tom was born on December 17, 1927 in Elkhart to Walter and Phoebe Robertson. He married Patricia A. Sedlar on October 21, 1950 in Manistee, MI.

Tom graduated from Elkhart High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Tom retired as a conductor from New York Central Railroad and Miles Laboratory / Bayer Corporation as a carpenter. He was a member of Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary and Four Lakes Golf Course. He and his wife are members of Faith United Methodist Church in Goshen.

Tom is survived by his wife of over 73 years, Patricia Robertson; their children Brent (Melody) Robertson of Goshen, T. James Robertson of Elkhart and Quinn (Linda) Robertson of Goshen; 5 grandchildren Melissa Maeyens, Brooke (Brandon) Maust, Bret Robertson, Adam Robertson and Myles Robertson; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Phoebe Robertson and his brother Bill M. Robertson.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes his family will be hosting a celebration of life gathering from 3-6 pm on Saturday January 27, 2024 at Patricia and Tom’s home.  Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Tom’s Family.
