Tommy Ray Richmond, 84, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at his home. He was born October 8, 1939  in Elkhart to Carlyle and Mary Richmond. He married Judith “Judy” Gordon on September 3, 1977 at First United Methodist Church in Elkhart, she preceded him in death on October 6, 2023.

Tom graduated from Elkhart High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Richmond Builders and worked for various construction companies. He enjoyed playing online poker and kept his mind sharp by playing sudoku or watching Jeopardy. He enjoyed tinkering around in his garage and around the yard. He enjoyed going out with family and friends on his pontoon. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events. He will be sadly missed.

Tom is survived by his children, Michele (Larry) Holloway of Naples, FL, Lisa Gordon of Elkhart, Steve Gordon of Elkhart, Annette (Mark) Barrett of Elkhart and Dawn Singleton of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, children Heather Richmond and Tab Richmond; sister Nancy Correia and brother Ron Richmond

In keeping with Tom’s wishes he and his wife Judy will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery 15501 Dickman Road  Augusta, MI 49012 on May 24, 2024 at 1:30pm, where he will have full military honors.
