Valerie L. Blair

Valerie Louise Blair, age 64, of Elkhart passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. Valerie was born in Hollywood, California to William Blair and Gloria McKenzie.

Val graduated from catholic high school in Hollywood, California. Val worked for Martin’s Super Market in the meat department on Nappanee Street. She enjoyed singing karaoke, line dancing, doing arts and crafts. She truly loved spending time with her family playing board games.  Val was very active in the LGBTQ Community.

Val is survived by her siblings, Aida Blair, Melody McCullough Dermardirossian, Jennifer McKenzie, Gregory McKenzie and Kevin Mc Kenzie; her cousins, Brooke and Steve Olinger, Shane Darell; her great cousins, Chantelle and Melloni. Val was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt, Diane Van denEcker.

In keeping with Valerie’s wishes friends may visit with family on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Bld., Elkhart, IN 46514 where a balloon release will be held at 5pm. She will be laid to rest in California.
