Vicky June Wind

Vicky June Wind, age 69 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. Vicky was born on February 18, 1957 to William and Lula Frances Wind in Evansville, IN.

Vicky enjoyed collecting elephants and magnets. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Vicky is survived by her husband, David Lawrence of Elkhart, IN;  her children William Wind of Indiana, April (Doug) Wilson of Elkhart, IN., Ann (Michael Oswald) Goodwin of Elkhart, IN., David (Joshua Herr) Goodwin of Elkhart, IN Jamie (Marco) Ortiz; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, siblings Linda, Brenda, Maggie, Carl, Darrell, Chuck, Johnny Ray and Cheryl. Vicky was preceded in death by her birth parents Amy Gibson and Clifford Money; her adopted parents William and Lula Frances Wind, her son-in-law Steven Greenwalt.

A celebration of life service for Vicky will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 4206 East Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN 46514. Online condolences may be made to Vicky’s family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
