Winnie M. Lovely

Winnie M. Lovely, 67 of Sterling Avenue, Elkhart died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana after an extended illness. She was born on August 2, 1940 in Elkhart, Indiana to Vernon and Marie (Brock) Cook.

Survivors include a son, Ronald (Lori) Cook of Elkhart; two daughters, Annette (Richard) Humes of Elkhart and Marilyn (Arthur) Heminger of Walkerton, Indiana; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Johnson of Flint, Michigan and "Dutch" Alfred E. (Doris) Johnson of Elkhart and a sister, Mary Lovely of Goshen, Indiana. A brother, Benjamin Cook and a sister, Sherla Brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Sunday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Elkhart Church of God, 28082 County Road 4 with the Reverend B.J. Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Ms. Lovely was a homemaker, member of the Elkhart Church of God and liked to fish and go shopping. She graduated from Concord High School. Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
