Adam Addonte Jenkins

Adam Addonte Jenkins, 41, of South Bend, IN passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Goshen Hospital surrounded by his family. Adam was born on December 21, 1981 in Chicago, IL to Johnny and Juanita Jenkins. He married his best-friend and the love of his life Ana Barrios on February 28, 2015 in Elkhart, IN.

Adam worked in the RV industry. He had an infectious smile, he loved to make people laugh with his smart witted and snarky remarks. He loved being a kid at heart and being around kids. He had a talent for rapping, drawing, painting and simply fixing things around the house or fixing a car. He was a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do.  He enjoyed watching anime. He enjoyed beaches and sunsets. When the weather was right, he enjoyed kayaking with his family and friends and enjoying nature. His favorite was the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his wife.

Adam is survived by his wife Ana Jenkins of South Bend; their children Jordan Herron of Mishawaka, Chris Stroye of South Bend, IN and Hannah Stroye of South Bend, IN his parents Johnny and Juanita Jenkins, his grandmother Venice Jenkins, his brother Johnny L. Jenkins Jr., and his sisters Jill Jenkins, Jeanetta Jenkins and Patricia (Gene Payton) Jenkins and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,  nephews,  cousins and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Florice J. Liggins and Levell Lee Liggins, paternal grandfather William Francis Jenkins, one niece RoSheeka R. Cole, a nephew  AriYaShaun Strickland and uncles Alex Charles Liggins, Ivan Jenkins, William Jenkins, Jr., Ronald Jenkins and Donald Jenkins.

Friends may visit with family from 11 am - 12 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 12 pm at the funeral home. Apostle Charles L.
