Alistair Gordon Taig

Alistair Gordon Taig, age 91, of Edwardsburg, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Hubbard Hill- Living Wisdom Community. Alistair was born on June 6, 1929 in Swansea, Wales to Thomas and Elizabeth Taig. He married Beryl Rees in 1953.

Alistair honorably served his country of Great Britain in the Royal Air Force. In his career he traveled from, Swansea Wales, to Weston-Super Mare, England, to St. Annes, England, to Yatton, England, Backwell, England, South Bend, IN, USA and to his home in Edwardsburg, MI, USA.  He retired from Bendix, currently Honeywell as an engineer. Throughout his engineering career he held more than 100 patents in his name. He enjoyed sailing, kayaking, playing the guitar, repairing old British cars. Alistair loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Alistair is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beryl; their children, Paul (Samantha) Taig Ashford, Kent, Great Britain, Robert (Andy) Taig of Copacabana, Australia, Steve (Sue) Taig of Elkhart, IN and Jennifer Lantz of Goshen; grandchildren, Taylor Lantz, Kenny Taig, John Taig, Tom Taig, Christopher Taig, Nicholas Taig and Emma Taig. Alistair was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Ian and Tommy Taig.
