Ann G. Checkley

Ann G. Checkley, 78, of Middlebury, passed away Monday November 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 7, 1942 in Beech Grove, IN to Gunnar and Verna Erickson. She married James Checkley on July 8, 1962 at Augustana Lutheran Elkhart

Ann graduated from Bristol High School. She was a full-time wife and mother and had retired as an office manager at Precision Stamping. She was a member of Reformation Church in Middlebury.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim, children: Todd (Paula) Checkley of Goshen, Brian (Lauren) Checkley of Middlebury and Brad (Amy) Checkley of Middlebury, grandchildren Olivia Checkley, Abigail Checkley, Natalie Checkley, Gloria Checkley, Haley (Sajed) Dosenbach, Riley Checkley and Benjamin Checkley, sister Janet Moyer of Union and brothers, Gunnar ((Diane) Erickson of Union and John (Bobbie) Erickson of Elkhart.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean Hess and niece Rhonda Hess.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 pm Friday November 5, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday November 6, 2021 with visitation one hour before services at the funeral home. Dr. Tim Knauff will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol, IN.
