Obituary

 

Barbara Ann (Wiehoft)  Murray, 86 of Elkhart passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her home with her daughter by her side. Barbara was born on August 5, 1936 to Max and Bernadine Wienhoft in Elkhart, IN.

Barbara graduated from Elkhart High School, class of 1954. She still had a close friendship with her classmates. She worked as a bookkeeper and office administrator. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her children Rick (Cathy) Murray of Elkhart, IN., Dave Murray of Cassopolis, MI and Kim (Dennis) Gunden of Elkhart, IN., her grandchildren Kyle, Kacy, David II, Halie, Derrick, Christopher and Elizabeth “Betsy”, greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Aimee Reed and her brothers Max and Mike Wienhoft.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there a Celebration of Life service at a later date. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting her family.
