Betty Marie (Manley) Edson

Betty Marie Edson, age 85, of Elkhart passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 surrounded by her family. Betty was born to Ernest Harold and Dollie Marie Manley on October 30, 1936 in Mt.Vernon, IL.

She married the love of her life Jack Lee Edson on June 11, 1954 in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Betty graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her career years she worked at the 812 Shop and Alexander’s Jewelry. The greatest time of Betty’s life was spent with family and friends.

Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack; their son Stanley (Vicki) Edson of Elkhart; granddaughter Lynee (Brian) Perkins of Elkhart; great-grandson Eric Perkins. Betty was preceded in death by her brother Billie Manley and her sister Doris Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 12pm on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, IN.
