Billie L. (Waimer) Coffin

Billie L. Coffin, age 89, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Elkhart County Hospice House. Billie was born on May 24, 1931 in Arnolds Park, Iowa to Milo and Doris Waimer.

Billie grew up on a lake, she loved light houses and the water. She had a love for life, she loved listening to Frank Sinatra, making ceramics, knitting hats for the homeless and her dogs.  She worked for Miles Laboratory for over 21 years as a consumer health care clerk.

Billie leaves to cherish her memories her children, Marc Coffin of Elkhart, Cris (Betty McLarney) Coffin of Elkhart and Kim (Michael) Allard of Gulf Port, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Jamison Coffin, Melysa Coffin, Emily Coffin, Zachary Coffin, Kaleigh Grady, Stevi Coffin, Cortnee Coffin and Amanda (Mike) Johnson; great grandchildren, Avery, Mila, Cayden, Carson, Jace, Noah, Zennith and Zeke.

In keeping with Billie’s wishes her ashes will be buried next to her family at Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children- Chicago, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the Coffin family.
