David Roger Fawley

David Roger Fawley, 76 of Rowland, NC passed away on Saturday February 10, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital. David was born on August 19, 1947 in Elkhart, IN to Howard and Inabelle Fawley. He married Ruth Cooper on November 16, 1990, she preceded him in death on Friday February 9, 2024.

David honorably served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam, where he received a purple heart. He was formerly Vice President of Leer. He enjoyed golfing and spending time fishing in Osage, Minnesota at his lake home. He loved to spend time with his friends and family.

David is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Michael) Makin of Elkhart, IN and stepson Leonard “Lenny” Cooper of South Bend, IN; grandchildren Christopher (Lauren) Makin, Jenna (Jathan) Rose and great-granddaughter Murphy and one on the way; sister-in-law Nancy Fawley of Arizona and daughter-in-law Mindy Fawley of Kentucky, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Inabelle Fawley, wife Ruth Fawley, sons John Howard Fawley and Brad Fawley and siblings Judy (Dale)Stickel, Carol Fawley, Bill Fawley and Jerry Fawley.
