David Coney Obituary

David Michael Coney, age 52, of Bristol passed away Wednesday March 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 1, 1968 in Elkhart to Gene and Lois Coney. He married Amy Miller on March 20, 2010 at Dunlap United Methodist Church.

David graduated from Concord High School class of 1986. He was a product engineer for Medallion Plastics in Elkhart. David has always enjoyed art and in his youth he received several awards for being artistic.  He loved the outdoors from mushroom hunting, camping, fishing or just being on his boat on the lake. The greatest love for David was spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife Amy of Bristol; his parents, Gene and Lois Coney of Elkhart; children Ashley (Rex) Horton of Bristol, Trent (Kelly) Miller of Elkhart; grandchildren, Gracie Miller and Noah Horton; his siblings Mark (Sue) Coney of Kalamazoo and Beth Smith of Elkhart; several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother, Jeffrey Scott Coney.

Friends may visit from 2-5 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 5pm.
