Debbie Cartwright Obituary

Deborah Kay Cartwright, age 71, of Bristol passed away on Saturday November 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Debbie was born on November 29,1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Claude and Irene Fessenden. Debbie married Ted Cartwright on June 13, 1970 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart.

Debbie worked at Bristol Pipe Corporation for over 30 years in human resources and payroll. She enjoyed grooming dogs, making ceramics, cake decorating, playing piano, gardening and she loved cats. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ted; their daughter Erica Burlew of Bristol; grandson Tanner Burlew of Bristol and her brother Gary (Becky) Fessenden of Granger, 8 nephews and 5 nieces. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Judith Fessenden and Mark Fessenden.

In keeping with Debbie’s wishes a celebration of life service will be held privately. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Cartwright family.
