Donna Mae (Friedman) Frantz

Donna Mae Frantz, 80, of Vicksburg, MI formerly of Elkhart, IN passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Fountainview Retirement Village of Portage, Michigan. She was born on March 14, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Louis and Rose (Kuhn) Friedman. She married Jack Leon on September 12, 1958 in Bloomington, IL.

Donna worked at Woodteck as a human resources director and she retired from Church World Services. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, Merry Widows and Share and Care Widows Group of Elkhart County. She was past president of Michiana Human Resources Association. She volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital in the surgery waiting area. She played euchre at the VFW for years. Her true love was for her family and she will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her son, Dean (Patricia Wilcox) Frantz of Vicksburg, MI;  her daughter, Dawn Thompson of Elkhart, IN; her grandchildren, Michael Frantz, Lauren Frantz, Patrick (Abby) Thompson, Dustin Thompson and Cassidy Thompson;  her great-grandchildren, Jonah Thompson, Gabriel Thompson and Jaxson Arnold; her brother, Jack (Phyllis) Friedman of Elkhart and her sister-in-law, Jean (Jon) Rupp of Elkhart. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Olive East Cemetery. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the Frantz family.
