Dorothy M. (Dausman) Watson

Dorothy May Watson, 93, of Bristol, passed away Monday February 19, 2024 at Majestic Care, Goshen. She was born November 30, 1930 in New Paris, IN to Allen and Helen Dausman. On December 4, 1948 in Goshen she married Harold Jean Watson, he preceded her in death on September 30, 2016.

After high school and raising her children, Dorothy worked at Elkhart County Gravel. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling on bus trips.

Surviving are her children, Thomas (June) Watson of Bristol, Jack (Brenda) Watson, David (Vicki) Watson, Bill (Jan) Watson, Doreen (Dennis) Kauffman and Dan (Jessie) Watson all of Bristol, IN, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Helen Dausman, husband H. Jean “Squeak”, son Jerry and brothers, Raymond and Harold Dausman.

Family and friends may visit from 4-8 pm Wednesday February 28th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. John Hogsett will be held at 7:30 pm. Burial will be at Trout Creek Cemetery, Bristol at a later date.
