Evelyn Louise (Carey) Dodge

 Evelyn Louise Dodge, 96 of Elkhart passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart, IN. She was born March 30, 1927 in Hicksville, OH to Tellis Herman and Eula (Moore) Carey.

Evelyn was a soda jerk from 1944-1945 at Huffman’s Drug Store in Hicksville, OH. She attended Elkhart Business College in 1947. She retired from S&G Associates after 25 years. She was a member of Riverside Bible Church in Elkhart. Evelyn had a love for cats, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially going to lunch.

Evelyn is survived by her children Dennis (Debbie) Dodge of Elkhart, IN., Susan (Michael) McCammon of Union, MI., Gary Dodge of Port Orange, FL., and Rae Ann (Michael) Pulling of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother Charles L. Carey and her great-granddaughter Orchid Jayde McCammon.

Visitation will be from 10-11:30 am on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 11:30 am.
