Gregory Dennis Schossau

Gregory Dennis Schossau, 70 of Bristol, IN passed away on Thursday February 15, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. Greg was born on December 3, 1953 in Romulus, MI to Fritz and Charlotte Schossau. He married Jenette Wiederman on March 15, 1974 in Niles, MI.

Greg was the Vice President in sales at Global Composites INC. in Elkhart, IN. He enjoyed nature to the fullest from spending time fishing, watching and feeding the hummingbirds or doing anything on the water. He enjoyed doing yardwork. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He loved to entertain them all with backyard sports and activities. He will be sadly missed.

Greg is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Jenette Schossau of Bristol, IN; their daughters Amber Marie (Bryan) Bly of Hickory Corners, MI., Nicole (Kevin) Marvel of Waxhaw, NC., and Michele (Jason) Schuck of South Bend, IN; grandchildren Taylor Marie Bly, Loren Christine Bly, Brayden Gregory Marvel, Nathan Robert Marvel, Grace Elizabeth Marvel and Amelia Lea Schuck; his siblings Don (Marney) Brown, Dave Brown, Bob (Lynn) Brown, Fred (Barbara) Schossau, Frank (Stacie) Schossau and Charlene (Jerry) Eagle all of Michigan. Greg was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Charlotte Schossau; son Gregory Dennis Schossau II, brother Jack Brown and sister Norma Johnson.

Visitation will be held 4-7 pm on Monday February 19, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday February 20, 2024 at the funeral home where visitation will be one hour before funeral services. Pastor Jeremy Schossau will officiate.  Burial will follow at Violet Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
