Harriet J. Wise

Harriet Wise, age 85, of Elkhart passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1935 in Nappanee, IN.  She married Wayne E. Wise on June 14, 1951 at Castle United Methodist Church in Elkhart.

In her youth Harriet was a beautician and was a secretary for her husband’s business at Plant 7 Machine Tool. She enjoyed her collection of carousels, watching the Chicago Bears and all Notre Dames Sports. The greatest love of her life was spending time with her family.

Harriet is survived by her sons, Stephen P. (Barbara) Wise of Bristol and Nicolas D. (Lisa) Wise of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Stacy (Steven) Miller, Morgan (Brad) Boyd, Nicole Morris, Jessica Wise and Tara Wise; her great-grandchildren, Seth, Sophie, Ella and Jameson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sons, Douglas Wise and Jeffery Wise.

Friends may visit from 2-4 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Where funeral services will be at 4pm. Burial will private at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
