Harry G. Rombke

Harry G. Rombke, age 90 of Goshen passed away on June 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Harry was born on January 21, 1931 to Lester E. and Estella Rombke in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Harry married Norma Jean Pinyerd on August 10, 1952 in Crestline, Ohio.

Harry is survived by his daughter Candy (Craig) Henkler of Goshen, his son Scott (Dianne) Rombke of Bristol. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Matthew (Dr. Jessica Montalvo) Henkler of Chicago, IL., Trevor Henkler of Elkhart and Aaron (MaeAnn Villanueva) Henkler of West Lafayette, IN and great-grandchildren Renann, Allyvia and Lillyann. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Norma on January 23, 2019, his brothers, Robert Rombke and Richard Rombke.

Harry honorably served his county in the US Army. He retired as a manager from Sherwin-Williams Company. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Elkhart County Flight Master’s program, and the Elkhart Jaycees as well as the Valley Aires Barber Shop Chorus.

Friends may visit with family on Friday June 25, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1133 Kilbourn Street, Elkhart where services will be held at 12 pm with Sister Nora Frost officiating. Burial will follow Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart IN 46514 is entrusted with arrangements.
