Hilda Lorene (Stewart) Bowers

Hilda Lorene Bowers, age 70, of Elkhart passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 2, 1950 in Galien, Ohio to Leslie E.  and Hilda M. Stewart. She married Jack H. Bowers on July 19, 1988 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Hilda and Jack enjoyed honky-tonks where they loved to listen to good music and dance, they also spent endless hours watching western movies. Her true love was the love she had for her family and her dogs and other animals, especially Ginger

Hilda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Jack Bowers of Elkhart; children, Charles (Nancy) Hancock of Texas, Jamie Hancock of Elkhart, Michael (Tara) Hancock of Elkhart and Tammy (Ronnie Stanley of Michigan; her siblings, Merle E. (Judy) Stewart of Ohio, Lynda (Paul) Hammer of South Bend, Michael Stewart of Elkhart and  Christine (John) Dudak of Elkhart; grandchildren, Drake Hancock, Chuckie Hancock and Brandi Bowers as well as several great grandchildren and her sister- in law Tina Stewart of Mishawaka. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeff Bowers, brother Gary Stewart and granddaughter, Amanda Bowers.
