Jack Wood Obituary

Jack E. Wood, 89, of Bristol, passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 at Eastlake Terrace, Elkhart.

He was born December 21, 1930 in Elkhart to Lynn Clark and Fern (Schoch) Wood. On May 16, 1954 at Bristol United Methodist Church, he married Donna J. Miller who preceded him in death on May 27, 2013. Jack is survived by his 3 daughters, Cathy Mark, Cindy Nicely and Pam Coy all of Elkhart; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and 1 due in May. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Donald and Duane.

After graduating from Bristol High School, Class of 1947, Jack honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked as a glass blower at Adams-Westlake for 29 years and retired from Selmers. He was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He loved to take family trips across the United States and traveled to Europe. In his later years he continued going to Disney World. He was an avid golfer and was a Cubs and I.U. fan.

Visitation for Jack will be 9 to 10am on Saturday, March 21 at Bristol United Methodist Church, 201 S. Division St., Bristol, IN 46507 where services will be at 10am with Pastor Gary Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE STREAMED LIVE AT WWW.BRISTOLUMC.ORG
