James Jay Jerkes, Jr, age 56, of passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 16, 1962 in Pueblo, Colorado to James Jay and Arlene Viola Jerkes. He married Penny Jerkes on February 2, 1987 in Houston, Texas.

James is survived by his wife, Penny Jerkes, his children; Shelby (Dustin Smith) Jerkes of Elkhart, Michele Jerkes of Warsaw, Joseph Wirfs of Fort Wayne, Texas, his grandchildren Sitara Jo Smith and one on the way, Dakota Cochran, Nicholas Welch, Makayla Cochran and great grandson Liam Lee Cochran.

In keeping with James’ wishes there will be no services. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the Jerkes family.
