Jay Scott Jamison

Jay “Scott” Jamison, age 70, of Bristol passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1951 to Horace “Bud” and Phyllis Jamison in Clarinda, IA. He married his high school sweetheart Dianne Marie Armstrong on May 27, 1973 at the United Methodist Church in Coin, IA.

Scott graduated class of 1970 from South Page High School in College Springs, IA he graduated from Dana College in Blair, NE. He was an operations manager for DelMonte Foods. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Goshen. He and his wife enjoyed playing pickle ball. Scott enjoyed playing golf and doing yard work. The greatest love for Scott was spending time with his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dianne; their children Andrew (Shannon) Jamison of Union, MI., Matthew Jamison of Lostant,IL., and Jessica Jamison of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Anna Jamison, Olivia Jamison and twins Everett and Owen Jamison; his brother Brian (Delora) Jamison of Columbia, MO and his father-in-law Walter Armstrong of Coin, IA. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law Shirley Armstrong.

Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 CR 18, Goshen, IN 46528 with Pastor John Hogsett officiating where friends may visit one hour before funeral services. Scott will be buried in Iowa. Memorial donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or First Presbyterian Church/Uganda Mission, 114 East Jefferson Street, Ottawa, IL 61350.
