John Paul Bachman

John Paul Bachman, 70, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital. John was born on August 11, 1949 to Elmer and Loretta Bachman in Elkhart. On August 14, 1971 he married Patricia Bartlett at Castle United Methodist Church in Elkhart.

John graduated from DeVry University in Chicago. He was an electrical engineer and entrepreneur. He retired from Parker Hannifin in Mishawaka.

John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patty; their sons, Matthew (Chad Farmer) Bachman of Kihei, Hawaii, Andrew (Megan) Bachman of Indianapolis, IN., Johnny (Lindsay) Bachman of Elkhart and Michael (Jonathon Bush) Bachman of Indianapolis, IN.; his grandchildren, Liliana, Brayden, Emalina, Mia, Kaylin, Andrew Jr., and Madalyn; his sisters, Connie (James) Kegerreis of Vicksburg, MS. and Dianna Raeder of Beaufort, SC. and his closest friends, Allan (Diane) Dobie and Larry (Barbara Woods) Godbey. John was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Clifford Raeder and a close friend Cathy Godbey.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 CR 18, Goshen, IN 46528. Family and friends may visit 2 hours before the service at the church. Pastor John Hogsett is officiating. Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to Faith Mission of Elkhart, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516, CAPS Child Abuse Prevention Service, 1000 West Hively Ave., Elkhart, IN 46517 or Faith United Methodist Church.  Stemm-Lawson-Peterson is assisting the Bachman family.
