Obituary

John E. Bowman, 80 of Mishawaka passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare in Mishawaka, IN. Joh was born on June 20, 1943 in Goshen, IN to Virgil and Elma (Ritchie) Bowman. John married the love of his life Beverly “Sue” Shriner on May 24, 1979 in Elkhart, she preceded him in death on January 13, 2019 after 40 years of marriage.

John worked at ADEC Industries where he also lived. John enjoyed spending time with his roommates and his “Partners in Opportunities” family. He enjoyed going out to eat and bowling. He had a love for the Lord and he always read the Bible everyday.

John is survived by his sister Christine and her husband David Culbert of Medina, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Elma Bowman and his wife Sue Bowman. He will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Milford Cemetery in Milford Indiana, where John will be laid to rest next to his parents.  Pastor Bob Vale will officiate.
