June M. Leslie

June M. Leslie, age 94 of Elkhart passed away on December 18, 2021 at Elkhart Place Assisted Living. She was born on September 20, 1927 to Lee Fredrick and Waneta T. Hammer in Fort Wayne, IN. She married Francis D. Leslie on December 29, 1945 in Fort Wayne, he preceded her in death on March 5, 2008.

 She worked for covered Wagon INC., Phillips Industries and at Easco Aluminum. She was formerly a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Elkhart and most currently Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart. She loved to spend time with her family and her friends.

June is survived by her daughter Sandy (Randy) Frey of Elkhart, her son Michael (Sherry) Leslie of Elkhart; Sandy’s children, Kristine Frey and Tammey Greenwood, Michael’s children, Melanie (Nathan) Kline, Jason Leslie, Kriste (Jo) Barrick and Ben Jack; Sandy’s grandchildren Austen, Dakota, TJ, Brooke and Shianne Michael’s grandchildren, Christian, Emerson, Alex, Ben, Logan, Sernity, Colton, Natalie and Kody; Sandy’s great-grandchildren Bentlee, Alyza and Maddox. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Mark D. Leslie and her sister Norma Crocker.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where visitation will from 10am -11am. Sister Nora Frost will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
