Karen Long Obituary

Karen Sue Long, 72, of Goshen, passed away Friday March 3, 2023 at Goshen Hospital. She was born October 4, 1950 in South Bend, IN  to Richard E. and Shirley Jackson. She married the love of her life, Larry Eugene Long who preceded her in death on May 23, 2018.

Karen graduated from LaVille High School in Lakeville, IN.  She enjoyed being a truck driver alongside her husband before his passing.  She was a member at River of Life Fellowship Church in Middlebury, IN.

Karen is survived by her daughter Deanna (Matt) Ferguson of Goshen grandchildren, Christopher (Amber) Hutchings,  Klarissa  (Alex) DeGuzman, Brittany  Sills; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Brantley, Levi,  Jasper, Jaxson, Brynlee, Alexander and Christian; her siblings, Tim (Robin) Jackson of Washington, Jeffrey L. Jackson of Plymouth, IN and Scott (Marsha) McCartney of Plymouth, IN. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Shirley Jackson, and her husband Larry Long.

A memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where friends may gather with family from 12 -2 pm. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
