Kevin S. Flynn

Kevin Flynn, 71, passed into the hands of his Heavenly Father on July 22, 2022 in the comfort of his home with his wife, Lois, at his side.  

He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on March 19, 1951 to Robert and Mary (Hettle) Flynn. Kevin was the beloved younger brother to three siblings, Tony (Janet) Flynn, and Mia (Raymond) Burton, all of Bloomington, IN and Cathy (Randy) Truelock of Spencer, IN.  

He earned his LPN and met Lois Romero at Elkhart General Hospital in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Lois; his son, Chad Romero, former daughter-in-law, Stacy Romero, his grandchildren, Michael and Marissa Romero, all of Elkhart, Indiana; his son-in-law, Tony Johnson of Chillicothe, Ohio, and special friends, Nancy Lewinski, Pat Russell, and Jeff Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Raelynn Romero Johnson 

In addition to being a highly respected and caring nurse and serving others, Kevin’s love of nature was seen in his landscaping and gardening skill and maintaining his many birdfeeders and wind chimes. 

Many friends and extended family members described Kevin as genuine, friendly, kind, caring, industrious, helpful, outgoing, funny, and even ornery. His generous heart will be missed by all those who knew him.
