Madison "Madi" O'Brien

Madison “Madi” Renee O’Brien, 12, of Bristol, IN passed away on April 13, 2024. Madi was born on December 3, 2011 to Pete and Amy O’Brien in Goshen, IN.

 Madi was a 6th grade student at Concord Intermediate School. She enjoyed painting, drawing and any type of arts and crafts projects. She enjoyed animals, it didn’t matter if they were furry or slithering, she liked them all. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Madi is survived by her mother, Amy (Tony, Jr.) Ottman of Cassopolis, MI and father,  Pete (Wendy) O’Brien of Bristol, IN; siblings Carson O’Brien, Jillian Presson, Dylan Ottman, Scarlett Dyda and ½ brother Mitchel Kuhns; grandparents Brenda & Jim Shank of Elkhart, IN., Marie & Glen Kuhns of Middlebury, IN., Tony (Dorothy ) Ottman, Sr., of Cassopolis, MI , Randy & Elizabeth Presson of Bristol, IN., Gloria Davis of Richmond, KY; great-grandparents Alice Yoder of Shipshewana, IN Jerry B. Kuhns of Arthur, IL., Martha Peterson of San Antonio, TX., and Regenia Shank of Elkhart, IN; aunts Shelly (Billy) Messex of Missouri, Tabatha (Patrick) Everest of Elkhart, IN., Amy Louise Ottman of Cassopolis, MI and Angel (Matt Zavodny) Ottman of Elkhart, IN; uncles Josh (Nicki) O’Brien of Nappanee, IN., Jeremiah O’Brien of Charleston , SC., Adam Shank of Elkhart, IN., Nathan  Shank of the Philippines, Ariel (Vanessa) Askren of Middlebury, IN and Stoney Ottman of Cassopolis,  MI as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be held on Sunday April 21, 2024 at 3pm at the funeral home where visitation one hour prior to funeral services at the funeral home.
