Marilyn Jane (Kime) Loucks

Marilyn Jane Loucks, age 88, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart. She was born December 20, 1932 in Elkhart to Dwight D. and Grace Kime.

On October 5, 1952 at Dunlap Methodist Church, she married Virgil L. Loucks who preceded her in death on July 8, 2008

Marilyn was a secretary for NIBCO for 12 years. She was a lifetime member of Dunlap United Methodist Church. She was the church secretary for First Brethren Church for 20 years, the organist for First Brethren Church of Elkhart for 15 years and Dunlap United Methodist Church for 20 years, she was a member of Concord Fire Department Auxiliary for 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and playing the organ.

Surviving are her children Leann (Dennis) Hahaj of Elkhart, Mary Ann Outlaw of Mishawaka, and Dennis L. Loucks all of Elkhart, 8 grandchildren: Meredith J. (Nick) Wilson, Evan J. Loucks, Nathan T. (Katie) Hahaj, Rachel D. Hahaj, Connor R. Hahaj, Courtney L. Outlaw, Taylor R. Outlaw and Jacob M. Allen, a great-granddaughter Aubrey, her siblings: Lois (Gene) Coney, Von Kime and sister-in-law Lois Kime all of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Vera & Donald Singleton and brother, Dwight Kime, her sister-in-law, Virginia Kime.

Visitation will be from 3-7 Friday, January 29, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Services will be at 10 am on Saturday, January 30, 2020 at Dunlap United Methodist Church, 23674 US 33, Elkhart, IN 46517 where friends may visit an hour before services.  Pastor Melissa Englehart will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials may be made to Dunlap United Methodist Church or Hubbard Hill 28070 CR 24, Elkhart, IN 46517.
