Marilyn Miller Obituary

Marilyn Miller, 89, of Bristol, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on September 3, 1929 in Bristol, the daughter of Samuel (Curtis) and Fern (Richardson) McClure. She was formerly married to William Miller, Jr. from 1947 until 1962.

She is survived by Melanie (Gene) DeMorrow of Goshen, Rhonda (Ron) King of White Pigeon and Terry (Donna) Miller of Elkhart, seven grandchildren, David (Sharon) DeMorrow, Darla (Rich Metzger) DeMorrow, Jenny (Steve) Nystrand, Curtis (Cris) King, Andy (Ashley) King, Jason (Rusty) Kelly, Jeff (Patty) Cope, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Marilyn worked at King's General Store for a number of years and was also a Tupperware dealer. When King's General Store closed in the early 1970‘s, Marilyn began working for Harding’s Friendly Market in Bristol and retired from there in 2002 after 30 years. Marilyn was 77-year member of The Bristol United Methodist Church and sang in both the Girls Choir and Adult Choir for many years. She was a member of the former Bristol Rebekah Lodge, the Bristol Alumni Association, Tops, and the Church Joy Group. She enjoyed helping the elderly, going to craft shows, shopping (her bucket list was complete when Dollar General came to Bristol), watching the Hallmark Channel Movies, watching the birds, and talking on the phone to her many friends. Marilyn lived in Bristol all her life.
