Mary Ann Goldy

Mary Ann Goldy, age 90, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Greenleaf Health Campus surrounded by her family. Mary was born on January 16, 1931 in Elkhart to Stanley N. and Magdalena M. Sekora. She married Louis Goldy, Jr. on February 18, 1950 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Elkhart, IN. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2010.

Mary graduated from Elkhart High School Class of 1949. She retired from CTS after 28 years. Mary was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Elkhart Vintage Auto Club. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame sports fan. She and her daughter, Cheryl enjoyed researching genealogy.

Mary is survived by her children, Debra Stutsman, Cheryl (Craig) Bartley, Greg (Nancy) Goldy and Tim (Amy) Goldy; her grandchildren, Carolyn (Djoko) Tasich, Nicholas Goldy, Heather (Keith) Aker, Benjamin Goldy, Victoria (Tim) Hall and Jamie Kentgen; great-grandchildren, Nora, Maya, Tobias, Kirstain “Keri”,  Mayceal, Michael and Mekhi; niece Suzie Minich and nephews Rod and Jeff Goldy and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Frederick, Henry and Lenard Sekora and her sisters Alice Hoffman and Lillian Yeager Nyers.

Friends may visit from 4-7 pm on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Friday, July 23, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1331 North Main Street, Elkhart, IN 46514.  Fr. Jason Freiburger will officiate. Burial will be private at St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery.
