Merry W. Hibshman

Merry W. Hibshman, age 88, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday Oct. 23, 2021 at Millers Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born November 14, 1932 in Montgomery, MI to Clarence A. and W. Maxine Ferrier. She married Otis Harold Hibshman on May 6, 1950 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Elkhart, he preceded her in death on June 23, 2002.

Merry graduated from Elkhart Business University as a medical secretary. She retired from Elkhart County Veterans Service Office after 26 years of service. She also worked for Harold’s Antenna Services for 3 years. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary in Elkhart and the American Legion Auxiliary in Edwardsburg. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be sadly missed. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and flowers.

Surviving are their children, Susan (Anthony) Davis of Lutz, FL., Sally (Ed) Tajkowski of Elkhart, Edward (Tammie) Hibshman of Elkhart and Jay Paige of Elkhart, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Merry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Douglas, Robert and O. Charles and her brother Douglas Ferrier.

Friends may visit with family from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday October 28, 2021at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the funeral where visitation will be one hour before service.
